The Last Light of the Empire is a physical/digital, two player correspondence RPG played entirely through letters, email or postcards. You and your partner take on the roles of rival scholars who once shared a common purpose but were divided by bitter disagreements. Through written exchanges, you will reconstruct the fall of a great empire, shaping its history from conflicting memories, disputed sources, and personal bias. The game is simple to start yet offers rich layers of narrative, emotional depth, and creative freedom. Over time, you’ll build parallel timelines, sometimes overlapping, often contradictory, that reveal not only the story of a fallen world, but the fractured relationship between those who remember it.
